As an exclusive powder coating applicator for Alumco, Joseph Industries says it has already undertaken a number of prestigious projects for the company, namely the Al Murooj luxury complex off Sheikh Zayed Road and the Greens Phase II.

The powder coating division is equipped with a 11-tank pretreatment system and a conventional electric tunnel oven wherein regular materials can be coated.  It also has a gas fired box oven where odd and oversized materials can be coated.
Powder and Kynar is applied by automatic high-voltage electrostatic spray guns mounted on pneumatic reciprocators to give a continuous and even coating to the product. The heat treatment and curing is done in an electric conventional tunnel oven at a temperature ranging from 200 to 250 deg C.
The wet coating division is equipped with a water wash paint booth system to wet paint, lacquer and stain metal and wood finishes. The paint booth can accommodate garage doors to commercial vehicles for wet coating and stove enamelling jobs. The company uses Kynar paints manufactured by Valspar Corporation US and is its approved applicator.
All the materials coated at Joseph Industries go through a stringent quality control process. The company has a fully-equipped chemical testing laboratory managed by a qualified chemist. The entire process – right from pretreatment through coating, curing in the oven and up to the final packing – is monitored by a team of quality control personnel.
Joseph Industries is a Qualicoat-approved and ISO 9001:2000-certified company.
All the pretreatment chemicals are imported from Wirral Fospray, UK.
It is an approved applicator for Jotun Powder Coating, Norway and HB Fuller Coatings UK. The company also operates a fibreglass division to fabricate customised fibreglass products as per client designs and specifications.
Some of the jobs completed include animal-feature cartoon characters, pylon signs and panels, dustbins, ashtrays, logos and kiosks for the IT industry.
