Technical Seal Company Limited (TSCL), which has been at the forefront in gasket technology for more than 15 years, continues to pioneer new solutions to the problems facing the fabricator in today’s market, through a philosophy that relies on the tenets of innovation, customer satisfaction, and high standards in business conduct.
TSCL, a member of Zamil group of companies, is a supplier of silicone sealants to Alumco. It has seen its business grow steadily since its inception in 1984 and is today a leading manufacturer of architectural and industrial sealing products.
“Our vision for the future is clear and we aim to develop top-quality products that will be based on the latest designs and trends,” says Moufid Ahmed, regional manager of TSCL. “Our commitment to provide customers with exemplary support is an integral part of this vision. We believe that people are the key to transforming vision to reality and we will continue to invest in people who not only share our vision but also have the necessary skill and dedication to carry out the work.”
Equipped with the latest machinery from Germany and Italy, the company has one of the most efficient extrusion-vulcanisation production facilities in the region. With the help of in-house computerised design and tools fabrication department, new products are developed and the approved designs of all customers are preserved permanently to make re-ordering easy, he says.
The advances in window industry design, together with the growth of uPVC systems, have demanded increasingly sophisticated gasket components to keep pace with designer’s requirements for greater levels of performance, versatility and compatibility, says Ahmed.
The company offers a range of architectural sealing products and testing services for windows, doors, curtain walls and continuous facades including EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) extruded profiles; EPDM moulded gasket frames and corners; moulded rubber parts; soft and dual hardness PVC exterior profiles; architectural sealing products; polypropylene yarn; pile weather strips; adhesive pile weather strips; monofilament pile weather strips; filmseal; adhesive filmseal; and the testing of windows, doors and curtain walls.
TSCL’s moulded rubber parts for air-conditioning and the refrigeration industries, electrical, engineering and pipe industries are manufactured to order as per required hardness and other properties. All products conform to the BS 3734 dimensional standards, he says.
The company also provides high-performance pressure pipe seals in special grades of compounds. The pipes can be used in a variety of applications including for drinking water, irrigation and drainage systems as well as oil and gas handling and transportation systems.
“Our seals retain excellent properties and deliver good sealing performance for several years. They are good for manual as well as automatic fitting and are supplied lubricated, if required,” Ahmed says.
The company claims that its pile weather stripping performs in all types of weather. The strips are packed at very low winding tension to avoid a collapse in height during storage, using highly sensitive winding machines in three standard size round core reels,” says Ahmed.
The company also deals in German-made Sika-Wacker silicone sealants for weather sealing and structural glazing applications for architectural industries. The silicone sealants are available in 310 ml cartridges, 600ml sausages and drums in different colours and categories as per the applications.
TSCL also trades in desiccants from Grace Davison Desiccants of Germany, for insulating glass processing industries in architectural applications; Kommerling polysulphide sealants for architectural applications; and profile aluminium spacers, he concludes.
