Bahrain-based Installux Gulf joined hands with Qatar-based Alu Nasa, part of Salam International Investment Limited (SIIL), in 1999 to market Installux aluminium systems in the local market. Four years on, Installux is now recognised as the leading aluminium system for high quality projects in Qatar, says Basim Al Saie, general manager for Installux Gulf.

The landmark projects completed in Doha by Alu Nasa using Installux aluminium systems include the Ministry of Interior complex, Al-Kobaisi Tower, Holiday Inn, Qatar International Islamic Bank, Junior School and Landmark shopping mall (new extension).

One key project currently under way is the 22-storey Gulf Tower, where two and four-sided structural glazing systems, windows and doors have been used. Some 17,000 sq m of aluminium composite cladding has been used for the project, which is now nearing completion.

"We have an excellent relationship with Alu Nasa, where both companies work in perfect harmony, and each party is totally focused, knowing exactly what the other partner needs," says Al Saie. "The know-how and the depth of technical expertise of Installux Gulf and Alu Nasa have helped establish Installux as the leading aluminium system in the Qatar market."

Installux Gulf is the regional office for the France-based Installux Group, which comprises four major companies specialising in high-quality aluminium systems, office partitions, awnings, shop-fittings and signage. Installux has an extensive range of more than 35 different aluminium systems and 1,000 different references of profiles covering every major category.

Installux Gulf says it is now looking at joining hands this year with another SIIL company to market Tiaso high-quality demountable aluminium office partitions in Qatar - a market where there is a considerable amount of new office space being developed and which therefore presents good potential business.
