Construction work is under way on a new administrative building for leading paint manufacturer Hempel Saudi Arabia.

Located in the First Industrial City in Dammam, the building will house all the head office staff as well as the Eastern Province sales units.

Key features of the three-level building are a new warehouse which will be dedicated to distribution of Hempel products in the Eastern Province and training facilities which are designed to ensure that the company's high standards of product and services will be maintained.

The building, being constructed at a cost of SR5.5 million ($1.46 million), features a simple layout and comprises a pre-engineered structure. Externally the building features precast concrete panels or architectural aluminium cladding and is painted with Hempel's logo colours.

The new office occupies a 2,300 sq m site and offers a total floor area of 2,955 sq m. The site is designed to be easily accessible by customers as well as staff with sufficient parking facilities.

The project is expected to be completed in November. Suhaimi Design is the consultant on the project.
