Elumatec, which is said to be the largest manufacturer of machines for the fabrication of aluminium and uPVC profiles in the world, set up its branch office last year in Dubai, UAE, to serve the entire Gulf region, India and Pakistan.

Based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the UAE office was opened in June 2000 and is fully equipped to provide maximum support to its customers, says Moez Mohamed-Ali, sales manager.

Elumatec was founded in 1928 in Muhlacker, Germany. Its products range from simple miter saws to fully computerised machining centres, all of which are manufactured at its production facilities in Germany under the philosophy of "only quality produces quality", according to Mohamed-Ali.

Elumatec has recently established a second production facility, covering an area of 6,000 sq m in Germany, especially for the production of its machining centres.

Elumatec is represented in 36 countries worldwide by its 100 per cent owned subsidiaries, all of which provide sales and after-sales service.

Elumatec employs over 500 people of whom 300 are based in its factories in Germany and the rest in its subsidiary offices.
