Dymonic NT was extensively used for the Al Salmiya Tower in Dubai, UAE.

Construction and glazing product specialist Tremco Limited has introduced a new high-performance, low-modulus, fast-curing sealant, to offer specifiers an effective means of sealing dynamically-moving joints in curtain-wall and cladding systems, precast concrete and most other common building substrates.

''Dymonic NT is a one-part, moisture-curing, polyurethane sealant that is ideal for making construction or expansion joints in civil engineering structures as well as architectural applications,'' says a spokesman for the UK-based company.

He continues: ''To facilitate such flexibility, Dymonic NT is available in a large range of colours including: white, precast white, ivory, light grey, dark grey, bronze, black and Redwood. Special colours can also be supplied to order.

''The product is suitable for sealing wide vertical joints of up to 100 mm in a single pass and offers excellent unprimed adhesion to concrete and all types of masonry as well as aluminium, glass, timber, ceramic tiles and even rigid plastic; while providing wide movement accommodation of +100/-50 per cent. It may also be employed for the perimeter caulking of window or door units and various forms of infill panel.

''Once installed, the sealant will cure at a rate of up to 10 mm per day in ideal conditions and offers rapid curing characteristics even at low ambient temperatures or in comparatively dry atmospheres.''

Dymonic NT is supplied in 310 ml cartridges or 600 ml sausage packs. Its formulation and performance conform to the requirements of BS EN ISO 11600 F25 LM, DIN 18540 F, ASTM C920 and other relevant international standards, he adds.
