Fadl A Al Ashey Contracting Establishment Fad-Fix has announced that its new SR7 million ($1.86 million) factory for producing marble products will open in Jeddah on October 1 this year.
Eastern Province manager Iyad Fakhry says the new plant is part of the company's plans to diversify its product range.
Fad-Fix, one of the leading firms engaged in the manufacture and supply of tile adhesives and cladding systems in Saudi Arabia, recently signed agreements appointing distributors in the Kingdom and in Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain.
The local distributors appointed were Missad bin Fahd Al Musallem Establishment (Al Hafouf), Khalifa Shaheen Al Buainin Establishment (Jubail), Mushabbab Al Jabri Contracting Company (Al Qatif) and Khalid Abdulrahman Contracting Company (Dammam).
The company manufactures adhesives under licence from Spain's Expo-Journal and its product line includes Fad-Fix ceramic tile adhesive, grout and cladding systems.
Fad-Fix, the title adhesive produced from cement, selected aggregates and additives, is specially formulated for fixing ceramic tiles onto sand-cement mortar coats, terrazzo and concrete.
