Putzmeister recently delivered 12 BSF 42-5.16 HLS truck-mounted concrete pumps for the project.

Putzmeister Group, a leading manufacturer of construction and mining machinery, marked a milestone in its history recently when it secured the company’s largest single order to date for Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Neom Project.

The order was received from Asas Al-Mohileb, a leading Saudi construction and engineering company, late last year and was the last of a series of purchases from the company, which is currently building a state-of-the-art concrete plant complex that will deliver over 20,000 cu m of readymixed concrete daily after completion – and thus plays a central role in the development of the visionary megacity’s “The Line” project.

This order includes the delivery of truck-mounted concrete pumps, stationary concrete pumps, rotary distributors and delivery lines. Putzmeister is thus the exclusive partner for the delivery of all concrete equipment – a proof that long-term commitment and close teamwork pay off, says the German company.

As the new exclusive partner for the supply of all concrete equipment, Putzmeister will play a major role in this ambitious project.

The major order includes the provision of state-of-the-art equipment for the construction and operation of the infrastructure of this extraordinary city. Putzmeister has already started delivering the first package, which includes seven BSF 56-5.16 HLS and 12 BSF 42-5.16 HLS truck-mounted concrete pumps. The order volume for the first delivery alone was worth SAR80 million ($20 million).

Since then, Putzmeister has been organising other deliveries which start next month (April) and these include four truck-mounted concrete pumps BSF 60-6.16 HLS, along with 20 BSA 14000 SHP D stationary pumps and 16 SV 18-3 rotary distributors. In addition, there will be 30 sets of 500-m-long ZX125 delivery lines with a total length of 15 km.

The first pump test of the stationary equipment is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025, while the project is expected to start full operations in the first quarter of 2026.

After more than two-and-a-half years of intensive project preparation and six months of sales negotiations, this order marks the greatest success in the almost 70-year history of Putzmeister.

“This project demonstrates the perseverance and innovative strength of our team. We have every reason to celebrate, but now we are rolling up our sleeves to tackle the next stage of this impressive project,” says Jens Bawidamann, Chief Sales Officer EMEA and Managing Director Putzmeister Concrete Pumps.

The Line, the central component of the Neom project, which will extend over 170 km and will provide a home for nine million people – completely emission-free and powered by renewable energy. It will create a completely new concept of living – with vertical urban development, short distances to all facilities and a focus on biodiversity.

Putzmeister sees its personal success and involvement in this visionary project as a symbol of the construction industry’s emergence into a new era of urban development and sustainability. As a market leader, the company’s goal is to play a central and responsible role in this.

The Putzmeister Group develops and produces high-quality machines in the fields of concrete delivery, truck-mounted concrete pumps, stationary concrete pumps, placing booms and accessories, plant engineering, pipe delivery of industrial solids, concrete spraying and transport in tunnels and underground, mortar machines, plastering machines, screed delivery, injection and special applications.
