Damac, one of the pioneers in branded luxury residences in this region, is currently developing seven branded residential projects in Dubai that represent partnerships with renowned international fashion designers and jewellery houses.

Its current project portfolio include tie-ups with Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli, Swiss jeweller de Grisogono, and Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad.

“Over more than a decade, we have had the fortune to build strong brand partnerships, welcoming to our portfolio renowned names such as Roberto Cavalli, de Grisogono, Fendi, Paramount, Versace, Trump Organization and Zuhair Murad. We will continue seeking associations to strengthen our brand and continuously assuring our customers with premium offerings,” Niall McLoughlin, Senior Vice President – Corporate Communications of Damac, tells Gulf Construction.

The seven ongoing projects include Cavalli Tower – which was the world’s only Cavalli-branded residences at the time of its launch, Damac Bay by Cavalli, Cavalli Couture, Safa One by de Grisogono, Safa Two by de Grisogono, Elegance Tower by Zuhair Murad, and Damac Chic Tower by de Grisogono.

 “All these projects are currently at various levels of development and the handover of all seven projects is scheduled for the next few years adding to Dubai’s growing skyline,” McLoughlin states.

Damac believes that the merging of global brands elevates the essence of a product in both worth and value. 

“A branded residence offers a merging of two or more iconic brands brought into one product offering the best of both worlds,” he continues. “A growing number of sophisticated real estate investors in the market are looking for a seamless blend of a luxury fashion brand and a real estate brand. Globally, the luxury real estate market has seen a surge, and as a company with a vision to grow and evolve with changing times, it was a natural transition for us to offer what our customers seek. We witnessed a strong demand in this segment at our initial phases, and that became the foundation for our expansion into this segment within our portfolio.”

To bring these projects to fruition, Damac continues to work and partner with reputable consultants and contractors such as Aecom, Khatib & Alami and KEO consultants and Shapoorji Pallonji and China State Construction Engineering Corporation, respectively.


Highlights of the projects:

Cavalli Tower: Launched in September 2021, this 71-storey skyscraper located in Dubai Marina overlooking Palm Jumeirah Island will offer residents ultra-luxury interiors branded by Cavalli. Designed by award-winning architect Shaun Killa – who also created the unique and stunning Dubai Museum of the Future – the tower comprises 436 units and is divided into three sections.

The first floors are considered luxury, the middle section of the tower is upper luxury while the top floors offer super-luxury features and finishes. Luxury and upper-luxury sections will have access to their own sky pool and sky gardens, while the super-luxury category boasts an infinity pool, a cigar lounge and a private pavilion where residents can host their own private dinner parties.

Every home in the super-luxury category will either have its own private pool or jacuzzi and all units – whether a two-bedroom apartment or a five-bedroom duplex – enjoy balconies and high ceilings offering stunning sea vistas. Other unique features of the tower include a four-storey-high Cavalli-branded lobby and a Malibu Bay-like beach pool in the gardens.

Damac Bay by Cavalli: This 42-storey aesthetic tower in Dubai Harbour designed by the Cavalli brand maintains a design scheme inspired by the maritime life throughout, with an interior that includes seashells, pearls and zebrafish patterns and a sleek exterior that pays homage to ocean waves.

As an accent piece, the three-tower complex features a Cavalli-inspired bridge that coils across its rooftops. The property offers residents luxurious seaside living in a choice ranging from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom super-luxury duplexes. The second to 32nd floors feature luxury one- to three-bedroom units while 33rd to 42nd floors offer three- to five-bedroom duplexes.

Residents will have access to a white-sanded private beach, a range of food and beverage outlets and the property’s exclusive Cavalli Lounge. Further into the property, the towers’ podium level provides a maritime getaway in the form of a water maze and snorkelling excursions. Each of the three towers also features a rooftop infinity pool. The rooftop area is also fitted with an opera pavilion that overlooks the Arabian Gulf.

Cavalli Couture: This 14-storey exclusive ultra-luxury branded residential building along the Dubai Canal overlooking Safa Park features 70 units comprising three- to five-bedroom duplex sky villas and duplex penthouses.

The interiors, inspired by the Amazon jungle, will be branded by Cavalli. The collection of penthouses will have direct private access to the roof, which will feature private sky gardens and a party terrace with infinity pools. Podium level amenities include a lagoon drop-off area, a gym and spa, a cigar lounge, club rooms, a floating juice bar and cabanas, lush tropical gardens, and a Cavalli-branded lobby.

Safa One by de Grisogono: A one-of-its-kind twin-tower development, Safa One de Grisogono is designed by de Grisogono. Situated on the edge of Safa Park, it offers luxury and super-luxury floors with striking views of the Dubai Canal on one side and the bustling Sheikh Zayed Road on the other.

The architectural design of the building replicates a necklace created by Fawaz Gruosi, the founder of de Grisogono. Unique to the design and the tower-duo is the deep, royal shade of emerald green, which will be a signature identity of this ultra-luxury residential complex.

Spread across the towers will be hanging gardens while at the base, residents will get a taste of a sunny tropical life with an artificial beach, a swimming pool, and a kids’ area in the midst of greenery.

At the crown of Tower A, the taller of the two towers, is an urban tropical island with cascading waterfalls, plants, as well as the sounds and sights of exotic birds.

The tower will feature one- to three-bedroom apartments in the luxury levels, while the super-suxury levels will have two to five-bedroom apartments with various view options, including the Dubai Canal, Sheikh Zayed Road as well as Safa Park and an extended stretch of Jumeirah.

Safa Two by de Grisogono: Situated opposite Safa One, the tower will offer impressive views of Dubai Canal, Burj Al Arab and the Palm. The blended 80-plus-floor twin-tower Safa Two has designs based on de Grisogono’s signature styles, with an underlying scarlet theme across the property. The architecture recollects a signature gem from founder’s collection - a highly sought-after 45.39 carat natural ruby ring ‘Virgin Scarlet’.

Designed as one, both towers will be interlinked at the base, middle and crown by unique defining features, including a ‘ruby heart’ at the centre, up high on the 60th floor that will feature a floating pool with views of the Dubai skyline. The building will be illuminated in red colour on completion, and will feature luxury levels and super-luxury levels at the higher floors.

Safa Two will feature extensive green features across living units and public spaces. This includes a one-of-a-kind ‘Fog Forest’ at the crown of the tower featuring lush landscape and a manmade fog, surrounded by laser icon shows, F&B outlets and an observation deck.

A glass slide is planned at the top level of Safa Two that extends from the Fog Forest to the Edge Walk. In addition, there will be an artificial beach pool on the podium level surrounded by palm trees set in a tropical ambience, and a public elevated ‘glass pool’.

Chic Tower: Located in Business Bay, this 41-storey tower with branded interiors de Grisogono takes its cues from the healing properties of turquoise. It features exclusive studio, one and two-bedroom apartments as well as one-bedroom lofts with private terraces and Damac plans to launch three- and four-bedroom apartments encompassing hydroponic walls and sky pools at a later stage.

Elegance Tower by Zuhair Murad: This luxurious 25-storey residential building located in the heart of Downtown Dubai is branded by designer Zuhair Murad. Among its unique features, the tower has a “secret” door in all units, which appears as a decorative shelf display in the living room but opens up directly into the master bedroom, giving the homes a sense of privacy and singularity.

The tower comprises one- and two-bedroom apartments displaying refinery and elegance with its white and gold interiors. The lobby offers a contrast of black and gold shades with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The tower has a swimming pool overlooking the Dubai skyline, a pool bar, a sun bed zone, lagoons, a kids play area and a fully equipped gym.

Commenting on the market response to these projects, he says: “We have seen very welcoming response on all our projects, with units selling off fast.”

Damac is also developing Damac Lagoons, its third masterplan community which currently under development in Dubailand. The project is inspired by the Mediterranean consisting of villas and townhouses surrounded by blue lagoons, sandy beaches, tropical island vibes and other experiences across 45 milllion sq m.

In line with global trend towards sustainability, McLoughlin says Damac has embedded sustainability and green features at the heart of the project’s design, construction and operations.

“Not only is it meeting the local green building codes and requirements, but several routes have been explored based on which Damac has decided to target a LEED Community rating. This is a testament to the company’s sustainable contribution and would allow residents and visitors to rest assured that the environment and the people’s welfare have been prioritised above all else,” he concludes.
