Gulenc ... among the first to respond to the needs of IAQ.

Daikin, a leading global innovator and provider of advanced, high-quality air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) products and solutions, has launched its new series of air purifiers for the Middle East and African (MEA) region, in line with its focus on enhancing indoor air quality (IAQ) and comfort levels.

The new air purifier, MC55 series with Daikin’s patented Streamer Technology, comes in a new and stylish compact design, offering key features such as powerful suction and low noise. It is equipped with a high-performance electrostatic HEPA filter to catch fine dust particles, which can be replaced after 10 years.

Pure air is guaranteed, thanks to the active plasma ion discharge and the flash streamer technology, which was proven to inactivate virus after three hours, states Tuna Gulenc, Vice President-Sales and Affiliates’ Management at Daikin MEA.

“The Streamer Technology, which was developed by Daikin in 2004, performs an oxidative decomposition of harmful substances. It discharges a type of plasma featuring an innovative air purification technology that generates high-speed electrons. This results in an oxidative plasma discharge capability that is higher than the conventional plasma discharge (glow discharge),” he explains.

Daikin has also launched the in-room compact air filtration unit, DAFU series, which is equipped with a three-stage filtration including 99.99 per cent efficient HEPA filter. Manufactured in the company’s UAE factory at Jebel Ali, the air filtration unit is designed to serve small to medium-sized facilities like healthcare facilities, to quickly and inexpensively convert standard patient rooms to negative pressure isolation rooms. In any conditioned space, it also helps by providing equivalent outdoor air changes to eliminate airborne infections and incorporates a high-efficiency EC fan to keep the power consumption lower.

Gulenc comments: “Our company was among the first to respond to the growing needs of IAQ in the Covid-19 era, wherein we introduced new technologies and products that ensure the best air quality, comfort, and energy efficiency.

“We redefine the health of any living spaces of our customers by providing a better experience of the air around them. Thanks to Daikin’s patented technology, the air is always clean. We shall continue to introduce IAQ solutions in the region, which falls in line with our mission to lead and contribute to every community that we operate in.”
