Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate development companies in Bahrain, has announced the commencement of works on the city’s entrance junction.
As part of its plan to improve accessibility to residents and visitors alike within the city, works on traffic signals are set to take place allowing quicker and easier access to key parts of the integrated city.
Diyar Al Muharraq had started the reconfiguration works in December with the contract expected to be completed in nine months.
Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company was signed up to build the junction over five phases, which are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2021, while ensuring smooth traffic movement throughout this period.
Commenting on the development, CEO Engineer Ahmed Ali Alammadi, said: “It is our pleasure to announce the commencement of the junction reconfiguration of Diyar Al Muharraq which aims to provide residents and visitors with facilitated access and ease of movement to major facilities surrounding the main entrance.
“This move coincides with the completion of a number of key residential, commercial and touristic attractions in Diyar Al Muharraq, which will increase the influx of visitors to the city. As such, we look forward to completing this vital junction soon to provide more convenience to residents and guests of Diyar Al Muharraq.”
Upon completion, the reconfigured junction will serve to better facilitate the flow of traffic by easing the movement of vehicles to the major points of interest in the vicinity of the main entrance.
This includes providing easy entrance and exit to and from the Diyar Al Muharraq Sales Centre, the future Marassi Galleria, Address Marassi Al Bahrain and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain Hotels, Souq Al Baraha, as well as planned projects in the pipeline such as the new Diyar Marina.
Diyar Al Muharraq is one of the largest integrated developments in Bahrain that aims to preserve the family values of the Bahraini society while offering a variety of housing solutions for a modern lifestyle.
