Bahrain’s Housing Ministry started the distribution last month of a total of over 15,000 residential units in East Hidd, Salman Town and Al Buhair to the beneficiaries in an implementation of the order of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, according to the BNA.
The ministry commenced the delivery of 5,000 residential units within Al Qalia neighbourhood in East Hidd region of the kingdom. The Al Qalia project is distinguished by the design of its units that echo the Bahraini architectural style and the coastal environment of the Hidd area.
“The Al Qalia neighbourhood project received a good response owing to its design, mainly for the interior yards and coastal walkways provided alongside parks and children’s play areas,” said project director Engineer Mohammed Rashdan.
The Housing Ministry also launched the distribution of 5,000 residential units in Salman Town. Located off the coast of the Northern Governorate of the kingdom, Salman Town is one of the main projects of the ministry being implemented on the royal order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build 40,000 housing units.
Housing Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Policies and Housing Services Dr Khalid Al Haidan said the buildings within this project are unique, mainly due to their coastal location and their interior design.
Dr Al Haidan said in line with the modern designs drawn up for the fifth generation of residential buildings that the ministry is implementing in new housing cities and housing complex projects in the kingdom’s governorates.
A further 5,000 residential units are being distributed in Al Buhair. Bahrain’s Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar pointed out that the Al Buhair project is one of the most prominent housing developments that the ministry is implementing in the southern governorate.
