National Stadium ... 30,000 seats supplied by Bukamal.

BAHRAIN-based Hassan Ebrahim Bukamal (Bukamal) will be making its debut at gulfBID to showcase a range of products that address the increasing demand of holistic building solutions, especially with regard to green technology, smart buildings and home automation.

Established in 1936, Bukamal is an ISO 9001, DNB Financial-rated and Trace-certified Bahrain-based trading and distribution company that offers services in the areas of building and construction, safety and security and power and energy to both government and private sectors through its dedicated team of professionals. Bukamal is an exclusive distributor of world-class brands such as Toto, Legrand, Honeywell, Ferco, LiteTech and Jacuzzi, among others.

“We haven’t participated in gulfBID before. We have, however, visited it and found it very effective and this prompted us to participate. We will be exhibiting products that are very relevant to showcase at the fair,” says Hasan Ansari, executive manager, supply chain and operations.

At the exhibition, Bukamal intends to promote total bathroom suites and accessories from Toto; gypsum ceiling tiles from USG; Legrand’s electrical devices; Aldes’ air-distribution products, fire and smoke dampers; Tesa’s architectural ironmongery; architectural ironmongery from Hoppe; Onity guest room electronic locks; Ramesh Hira’s aerofoam and diamond pipe supports (pipe support systems for MEP and HVAC); Dural flooring accessories; Afico’s fibreglass insulation system; lighting solutions from LiteTech; and car-park ventilation and smoke extract systems from Colt, UK.
“Considering the increasing demand for services involving green technology, smart buildings and home automation, we see major potential in introducing such technologies and solution,” Ansari adds.

Bukamal has been involved in numerous key projects including the National Stadium, Sheikh Khalifa Sports City, King Hamad University Hospital, Regency Inter.Continental, National Theatre, and Four Seasons hotel, supplying a range of products including sanitary ware, plumbing and electrical systems, seating, fencing, lighting, ceilings and similar architectural solutions.

For the National Stadium, for instance, Bukamal supplied more than 30,000 spectator, media and VIP seating.

Ansari says that Bukamal has witnessed good growth over the past few years, which has encouraged it to invest heavily in R&D (research and development), marketing, human resources, ICT (information and communication technology) to bring better and more efficient solutions to clients and projects.

Bukamal also has a showroom called the Idea Gallery, which it describes as a business lounge and knowledge centre for stakeholders to explore the latest industrial and technological solutions from the world’s best brands.

Looking to the future, he says Bukamal’s plans involve retail diversification, new consumer solutions and the possibility of expanding into Saudi Arabia. “We are committed to providing world-class solutions through quality services and brands,” Ansari concludes.

Bukamal will be exhibiting at Stand 1A61 at gulfBID.
