TRIDONIC, a leader in lighting components, lighting management systems and LEDs, has appointed Haji Commercial Company (HCC) as its UAE distributor.

Based in Europe, Tridonic has provided lighting components and control systems to the Burj Khalifa, Emirates Palace, The Dubai Mall, Zayed University and other prestigious projects across the Mena (Middle East and North Africa) region.

The tie-up with HCC is part of its business plan that seeks to double its regional turnover every three to five years.

Steve Christodoulou, Tridonic’s managing director/CEO for Australia/Oceania and Mena, said: “After 10 years of operations in UAE, we are pleased to formalise a distributorship agreement with Haji Commercial Company, a major player with a proven track record in the region. We expect this partnership to boost our revenues, powered by HCC’s extensive experience, contacts and market reach.”

“As a distributor of reputed lighting products from leading global manufacturers, we feel privileged to add Tridonic to our portfolio,” said Unni Krishnan, general manager, HCC. “As the UAE and the Gulf brace for a revival in gigantic infrastructure projects, our partnership with Tridonic will propel us to fulfill our ambition of achieving annual growth of 25 to 30 per cent. It will also enable us to reach a higher level in green lighting solutions.”

John Carruthers, managing director, Tridonic Middle East, said: “Tridonic enjoys an international reputation as the epitome of excellence when it comes to light-related products, and new products make up nearly 40 per cent of our portfolio.”
