YAPEX Building Exhibition, one of the biggest fairs for the building and construction industry, will open its doors once again this year with its wide range of products and services aimed at those looking to build tourism facilities, among other infrastructure projects.

The exhibition to be held between October 27 and 30 at Antalya Expo Centre in Turkey, will feature more than 300 local and foreign exhibitors specialising in tourism facility construction and is expected to attract at least 25,000 professional visitors.

The exhibition, now in its 19th year, will display technologies and innovations in the building and construction areas at a location that has an edge in the tourism construction field, according to a spokesman for the organiser.

“Antalya is a critical locus for local and foreign investors, providing a platform to establish future business relationships with foreign companies and lay the ground work for joint investment plans,” says the spokesman. “In the last few years, foreign investors have been investing significantly especially in Antalya, aiming to take capitalise on the huge opportunities afforded through new planning permissions.”

He continues: “Russian, German, British and Arabian investors, in particular, are now showing remarkable interest in the region. The city lying on the southern coast of Turkey has hundreds of tourism facilities (including more than 1,000 hotels), providing ample scope for redevelopment to exploit the potential of the region, both in terms of investment in new facilities and in renovation projects. Further, about 300,000 houses, new community buildings, tourist centres and other investments are planned in line with the development plans for the region of Antalya.”

This apart, Turkey has become a prominent global and regional hub for many international companies and is considered the gateway to Europe and the Middle East, he adds.

Also being held concurrently with the Yapex are other events that will help create an ideal sourcing place for architectural requirements. These include the Yapex Windoor (window + door) Fair, Yapex Renovation Fair and Yapex Ceramic and Bathroom Fair, among other events to be held over the four days.
