THE Big 5 Saudi Arabia has been conferred the ‘Best Trade Exhibition’ award at the heavily-contested Middle East Events Awards 2011, held last month at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The awards honour outstanding achievements in the Middle East events industry.

Matt Denton, vice-president of construction for dmg::events, The Big 5 Saudi Arabia organiser, said: “This award is a real testament to the strength and support of The Big 5 brand. To win is fantastic but to win with a launch event, our first move into a new territory makes it even better.

“With the help of our local partners MICE Arabia, our Jeddah event brought all the best aspects of The Big 5 direct to the local Saudi buyers. The Big 5 Saudi Arabia was launched this year (February 27 to March 2) in Jeddah to capitalise on  opportunities in Saudi Arabia for construction sector professionals.
