ARABTEC Construction Company of Doha, Qatar, a subsidiary of Arabtec Holding, has received a letter of intent from Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company for the construction of the World Trade Center in Doha’s West Bay area.

The Dh524-million ($142 million) project will include all associated structural, civil, electro-mechanical and external works. The project’s duration is 26 months and will comprise four basement levels, a ground floor level and a 50-floor office tower, in addition to a six-storey sphere structure building.
Arabtec Construction is currently executing the Al Waab City project in Doha, which involves development of a 1.2 million sq m area. The company has also been awarded a Dh696-million ($189.4 million) contract for a twin-tower project, also located at West Bay.
