
Dubai-based Hamad Rahma Abdulla Al Shamsi General Trading supplied a range of bathroom suites and fittings to the net.community project.
These included sanitary ware and ceramic tiles from Roca-Spain and Borja-Spain and water heaters from AO Smith-Europe.
Established in 1955, the company is one of the leading suppliers of building materials in the UAE.
The company offers a number of products including sanitary ware and fittings from Roca-Spain, believed to be the world's second largest in the field; ceramic tiles from Roca, Zirconio and Borja, all of Spain, and CE.SI of Italy; porcelain/graniti tiles from Alcalagres-Spain; swimming pool tiles, including accessories and landscaping, and extruded split tiles from Klinker Sire-Italy; reconstituted marble from Marmol Compac-Spain; wooden flooring from Haro-Germany; and water heaters from AO Smith, US/Europe.
"Over the years, we have built up a reputation as a reliable supplier of good-quality products, who provides an efficient service," says Majid Hamad Alshamsi, managing director of the company.
The company's showroom, which spreads over an area of 1,100 sq m, is well laid out and spacious. Its staff includes well-trained sales and technical personnel.
"Every year, we send our staff to attend training courses and keep abreast of products offered by our principals abroad," he says.
