Dubai-based Techno Lift, which supplied and installed elevators at the net.community complex, says it considers the award of the project a matter of pride.

"We feel honoured to be in continuous association with Union Properties with this project, having completed the Union House and United Arab Shipping Headquarters for the company," says a company spokesman.

"We are proud to say that we were able to comply with the project's requirements in terms of providing the elevators of the desired speed and capacity, within the short time-frame allocated for the lifts,'' he adds.

The company installed six Schindler passenger elevators of 1,000-kg capacity and speed of 1.6 m per second. VVVF (variable voltage variable frequency) drives combined with the state-of-the-art technology controls - Miconic SX - handle the demanding traffic requirements of this prestigious project, the spokesman says.

Established in 1994, Techno Lift is a member of Al Shafar Group of Companies and represents Schindler products - elevators, escalators and moving walkways - in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Last year, the company launched Schindler's Smart MRL - the machineroomless elevator - to cater to the low and mid-rise residential segment. Another product called Schindler 300P was also launched to cater to the mid and high-rise segments of the market.

It is reported that the response to both the products has been very encouraging and Techno Lift secured many orders last year. In addition, it has recently been awarded the prestigious hotel project for Emirates airline in Fujairah.

Some of the projects that the company is currently working on include the Sheraton Hotel and Office Tower on Shaikh Zayed Road, Dubai; Fujairah Towers - believed to be the tallest tower in Fujairah; and Emirates office and staff accommodation projects.

Over the past years, Techno Lift has provided effective vertical transportation for many projects including Etisalat offices in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, extension to the Dubai Municipality building, United Arab Shipping Company headquarters, Union Properties' new head office, Nissan Middle East office and training centre Pyramid Commercial Complex.

"Techno Lift - backed by full support from Schindler - is in a position to provide effective solutions for vertical transportation for all types of buildings.

''We provide support to architects, builders, planners and consultants from the planning/design stage of the project,'' the spokesman points out.
