Rental Solutions and Services (RSS), a global provider of temporary power and cooling services, concluded its participation at the two-day MEED District Cooling Conference held in Dubai in May by extending its commitment to support district cooling companies and property developers.

The event sought to tackle issues in district cooling, chilling, HVAC (heating, ventillation and air-conditioning), climate control and refrigeration products within the Gulf region and urged cooling companies, suppliers and organisations to join efforts to standardise the policies and procedures of district cooling operations.
Delegates marked out Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Manama, Muscat, Doha and Kuwait as emerging cities with large potential for district cooling.
The event widened the perspective of the delegates in the applications of climate control in residential, industrial chilling and commercial cooling. Several speakers noted that there should be an independent organisation which will facilitate and govern the industry standards of district cooling in the Middle East.
The event was attended by the leading companies in district cooling such as Palm District Cooling; Empower; Emicool; Qatar Cool; Tabreed; Dalkia Middle East; Emirates Green Building Council; GCC Energy Fund; Energy Analyst of International Energy Agency; and National Trigeneration CHP Company.
