Hansgrohe, a specialist in mixers, taps and shower sprays, has introduced its comprehensive Crometta 85 shower range.
“In the Crometta 85,” says brand manager Richard Grohe, “we have designed a product featuring everything that distinguishes a quality shower spray. From its discreetly elegant styling by the Phoenix Design workshop, to the different sprays perfected in the Hansgrohe fluid stream research department to the special quality of the ‘Made in Germany’ finish, Crometta 85 has it all.”
The Crometta is available in three versions, all designed as either a hand spray or overhead shower. Common to them all is the homogeneous spray jet from the shower faces with a diameter of 85 mm that generously wets the body. The Multispray version offers three different spray types, ranging from the tingling shower stream, to the gentle soft spray – ideal for alternating warm and cold Kneipp bathing – through to the powerful pulsating massage jet that simply rinses away tension, he says.
In contrast, the Vario version uses graduated regulation of the jet strength so that users can adjust the intensity of the showering experience to match their own personal preference, with one simple touch of the shower face.
“Showering is a particularly pleasant experience under the aerated jet of the Crometta 85 Green as its water-air mixture gives the rain of droplets noticeably more volume,” he notes.
“At the same time, Hansgrohe’s EcoSmart technology in the Crometta 85 Green hand sprays and overhead units ensures that the flow of water remains limited without any loss of showering comfort. Through a combination of cleverly-devised flow regulation and central air intake, the water consumption is reduced by up to 60 per cent, regardless of the pressure. Thus, when the tap is fully opened, a maximum of six litres of water per minute flows through the Crometta 85 Green shower units, putting the consumption significantly below the average. This is one way of saving valuable water resources and – as warm water is generally used for showering – energy resources, too,” he points out.
However, according to him, the ingenious technicians working in the Hansgrohe fluid stream laboratory in the Black Forest in Germany have made sure that the jet function of the Crometta 85 Green shower sprays adapts to the quantity of water. As a result, pleasant showering comfort is guaranteed, regardless of the flow pressure, particularly since the water-air mixture provides the power required for genuine bathing pleasure in spite of the reduced water consumption.
“At present there is no branded shower spray that uses so little water while offering so much showering comfort as the Hansgrohe Crometta 85 Green. So, in fact, everyone can make a contribution to climate protection when under the shower,” the brand manager asserts.
At the same time, the Crometta 85 shower head trio is rounded off in form and function by the matching Unica Crometta shower bar. Its fully chrome-plated support makes it easy to adjust the height of the shower head and alter the angle with just one action – even with soapy hands. Complete chrome-plating of the metal cover ensures that the shower support is resistant to all conventional cleaning agents and has a long service life even when in frequent use. “Thanks to the discreet design, the set consisting of hand spray, wall bar and hose fits splendidly into every bathroom setting. It is therefore not only an ideal solution during extensive bathroom refurbishment and straightforward replacement work but also in new construction projects,” he says.
What’s more, all Crometta 85 models have the proven Hansgrohe QuickClean anti-limescale function. “On the rare occasions when limescale adheres to the elastic silicone jets of the shower face, it can simply be rubbed away with the fingers,” he concludes.
Hansgrohe is the premium brand for showers, bathroom and kitchen mixers as well as thermostat and drainage technology within the international association that makes up the Hansgrohe Group.
