Turkish ceramic manufacturers are focusing on increasing brand awareness and enhancing the perceptions about the quality of their products, according to the Ankara-based Central Anatolian Exporters Unions (OAIB).

The OAIB was established with the purpose of boosting exports, regulating activities and relations among Turkish exporters and guiding them in the foreign markets. It is currently focusing on promoting products from the Turkish ceramic sector in the Middle East markets. The export union deals with ceramic tiles and sanitary ware, glass and cement products.
“What we mean by focusing more on creating brand awareness, is not restricted to just the quality, but also the design concept and aesthetics of our ceramic range. In order to communicate better with our clients and to meet our target for increased demand, we have created a new catalogue and have launched an advertisement campaign with innovative concepts as well as an aggressive promotional and marketing campaign,” says Bahadir Kayan, president of the Turkish Ceramics Promotion Committee, speaking on behalf the Turkish ceramic sector.
“We are also keen to promote our range of ceramic tiles that are durable as well as attractive and sanitary-ware products to countries, where ceramic products are still not popular,” he adds.
