Kemsol, the official representatives of LG’s specialized PVC floorings, is offering a unique product-mix with immense depth, which no other single PVC flooring company offers in the UAE market, claims the Dubai-based company.
“Be it residential, commercial, and industrial or any special requirements of the flooring market, Kemsol offers solutions for every type, which are ideally suited for the middle and upper segments of the market,” says a company spokesman.
“With LG, customers have a wide range of products and varieties to choose from. These products are not only gaining popularity in the UAE market, they are also widely accepted in Europe, the US, Canada, South East Asia and India,” he adds.
This extensive range will be showcased at an exclusive luxury showroom that Kemsol is setting up to display the entire product mix from LG, which also includes high-quality and up-market wall coverings, u-PVC windows systems, u-PVC doors and carpet tiles. This one-stop shop for all interiors solutions to be located at Al Ittihad Road will be ready within a month and a half, the spokesman says.
LG’s specialised floorings have multiple applications and are suitable for use in sports stadia, hospitals, schools and gymnasiums apart from being used as decor tiles and designer flooring for homes, offices, hotels, supermarkets and showrooms. The products are on par with the best in the world in terms of quality apart from being great ‘value-for-money’, according to the spokesman.
In the UAE, Kemsol offers customers a ‘supply-and-apply’ package that ensures proper laying and installation of tiles and sheets.
“PVC flooring solutions require proper understanding of the screed to ensure the proper usage of the PVC flooring. It is through such an understanding that users can achieve the longevity and retention of the pristine looks of PVC surfaces for long years. Any aberrations in the screed are likely to show up on the PVC flooring if laid on an improper sub-floor, should proper care not be taken,” the spokesman points out.
“Since this is a specialised area that needs proper handling, it is paramount to be careful during the laying process. Kemsol takes pride in having the back-up of highly skilled applicators who are well trained to identify and resolve such issues, thereby offering this specialist function.”
A well-recognised Korean brand, LG PVC flooring has been marketed in 50 countries across the globe for over the past six decades. Flooring products from the ISO 9000-certified company adhere to European, DIN (German), and ASTM standards, and the quality of its products is assured – be it floorings of the affordable ‘value-for-money’ category or the “aesthetic/classy design” ones, he adds..
These flooring products offer the customer the flexibility to select special mosaic designs, produced through using state-of-the-art mosaic computerised cutting systems, giving LG an edge over the competition and helping it not only to grow as a globally-recognised brand, but also to carve its own niche in this competitive market, the spokesman says.
The company’s residential and commercial floorings are very popular in the market due to their multiple advantages.
“Series such as Decotile-Fine and Decotile-Econo, Safedeco, Palace and Gallant, have already found a strong base in the local market, specially with interior designers as a new option for flooring solutions especially in fancy showroom and hypermarket situations. There is a huge potential for these products and Kemsol is committed to explore every available opportunity in this sector,” says the spokesman.
Recent projects handled with LG flooring include showrooms, hypermarkets, pharmacies, residences, hospitals, hotels and schools. The company’s interior design segment has also shown promising growth with the material being used extensively in luxury showrooms and office spaces.
LG’s latest innovation is wooden parquet type of flooring solutions available in Rexcourt, EQ Floor, Decotile-Fine, Decotile-Econo, and Palace. While replicating the exact feel and look of wooden parquet flooring, these surfaces overcome the problems associated with wooden parquet flooring, he says.
“In fact, the villas and residential sectors have found special favour with the wooden parquet-type of options such as Decotile Series, Rexcourt and EQ Floor, especially for the majlis areas in villas in the Gulf, and in bedrooms – apart from the thicker foam-backed varieties for children’s rooms,” he says.
“With the opening up of a whole new segment for these ranges, Kemsol has been presenting excellent new and exciting flooring options for this fast-growing and exclusive segment of the market,” he points out. Kemsol stocks various varieties and series of LG floorings including Rexcourt PVC foam-backed sports floorings for indoor stadia and gymnasiums; EQ floor foam-backed floorings meant for multipurpose halls in hospitals and schools apart from children’s rooms; Palace and the extensive Decotile Series, Gallant, Naturelife, Safedeco – all specialized solutions for the interior-design segment.
LG specialty floorings also include Static Pulse flooring, which is a conductive and static – dissipative system that can be used in operation theatres, radiology rooms, radar control rooms, IT centres, and telephone exchanges, where the possibility of static electricity damaging sensitive equipment is possible. All these flooring varieties are available in a wide range of colours, sizes, feels and patterns.
“A mop is all that is required to keep the area clean and tidy. Water seepage – one of the basic problems with wooden parquet can also be averted – as PVC flooring is waterproof,” he points out.
Most of LG’s floorings have a fibre-glass layer, running all the way through their thickness, making them very resistant to wear and tear. It makes the flooring flexible yet rigid enough to overcome minor aberrations in the screed. PVC floorings are anti-bacterial and anti-termite and also very easy to maintain.
“LG’s floorings are popular for the simple reason that they are easy to fix, maintain and have a long durability span. In addition, they are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of five to 10 years depending on the type of flooring in question,” the spokesman points out.
“LG’s Commercial Flooring Guide explains recommended applications as well as the chemical resistance tests for each type of PVC flooring. It also offers full instructions on installation and maintenance and Kemsol is happy to provide these catalogues to all its clients,” he adds.
In four years of operation, Kemsol has captured a sizeable portion of the GCC market, which it covers from its 40,000 sq ft warehousing facility at Jebel Ali Free Zone. The proactive business approach of its team of young and dynamic professionals – whose key strategy is “service” – is steering the relatively young Kemsol forward in the fast-growing supply market of the GCC, he adds.
