Door specialist Boon Edam says that the new Boon Edam StereoVision technology meets many of the demands for high-security solutions that are resulting from the emerging threats in society.

“With StereoVision in a Boon Edam Tourlock, you can reliably and accurately detect piggybacking at your high-security entrance,” says a company spokesman.
He elaborates: “StereoVision is a highly sophisticated security system that recognises shapes, size and volume in three dimensions. By analysing these data, the system determines the number of people attempting to enter on one authorisation and blocks the security door when violation is detected. Because of this unique 3D technology the highest accuracy in security access can be reached without reducing the capacity of the entrance.”
Tourlock is the high security revolving door from Boon Edam. Combining the StereoVision system with this revolving door creates an unmanned high-security entrance. The most important advantages are a capacity of 20 persons per minute and elimination of piggybacking and tailgating, says the spokesman.
This new generation of high security technology is available as an option in the standard Tourlock. As a security upgrade, StereoVision can also be installed into existing Tourlock projects all over the world. Because the StereoVision system occupies a minimum amount of space, it can be installed in both the ingress and egress sides of the Tourlock, if desired.
