Streif Baulogistik’s debut at the recently-concluded Intersec – the biggest security industry exhibition in the Middle East – has allowed it to exhibit its products and expertise to the region, and also develop promising contacts, says a spokesman for the company.
At Intersec, Streif Baulogistik – a wholly-owned subsidiary of construction services group Hochtief – presented its business area logistics, consulting and management (LC&M), which has already won it several major contracts in the face of tough international competition, and also its InSite access control system for building sites – and a world-patented system for advertising on cranes.
Streif Baulogistik provides logistics solutions in connection with all building site installation issues. Its range includes leasing construction machinery and equipment, scaffolding and formwork, the fabrication of special formwork and the provision of engineering services. This is supplemented by security and health and safety coordination, site access control and security concepts, and outsourcing arrangements for small and medium-sized building firms.
Intersec is held annually in the World Trade Centre Dubai and among the specialised areas it features are access control systems and general building security.
“In the past few years, Streif Baulogistik has extended its range in line with the requirements of its clients and the market by entering sales partnerships with market-leading manufacturers and offering outsourcing concepts. It has earned a reputation for the competent and reliable handling of complex and technically-demanding projects. Examples are the provision of cranes for the BMW works in Munich and the just-in-time logistics for supplying the major building site at Munich Airport,” says the spokesman.
Streif Baulogistik is a regular exhibitor at some of the leading exhibitions in the world. It is now set to participate at bauma 2004 construction equipment exhibition in Munich, Germany (March 29 to April 4), where in the outdoor section of the fair, it presents its logistics services for all building site installations.
Promoted in the LC&M area will be its InSite, with which Streif Baulogistik has won against established competitors, for example in the bid to supply the US airbase Rammstein.
Streif Baulogistik now also offers an innovative approach to outdoor advertising. A globally patented system for advertising on cranes – in addition to scaffolding – offers clients and building contractors a chance to earn revenues while a building is still being erected.
The company handles everything involved, from technical implementation to the professional marketing of the huge posters.
Visitors to bauma can get a vivid impression of the impacts of this new medium and talk to competent Streif Baulogistik staff about the effectiveness of this approach.
