Trevi Showers has launched Strada, a range of ABS capped shower trays that are said to offer a variety of new benefits and features while providing customers with a new and convenient alternative to resin stone trays.
''Trevi's Strada trays combine the rigidity of resin stone trays together with the product longevity provided by a standard acrylic shower tray,'' says a spokesman for Trevi Showers, a division of American Standard Plumbing (UK).
''ABS capped trays are stone resin trays finished with an acrylic sheet, ensuring durability and creating an aesthetically-pleasing finish. These trays are also much lighter than standard resin trays, allowing for easier lifting and installation.
''Strada are supplied as up-stand trays, which provide a greater sealing solution ensuring a better quality of installation. Up-stands also reduce installation costs and makes the overall installation of the tray easier,'' he adds.
All Strada shower trays are also available as up-stand risers. Already benefiting from the integral up-stand, the riser tray offers adjustable feet movement. Using up-stand risers also allows for accessible plumbing and ease of maintenance, the spokesman points out. All up-stand riser trays come with an attractive dedicated front and side panel for either alcove or corner installations.
The Strada range comprises seven sizes of shower trays: 760 mm, 800 mm, 900 mm, 1,200 mm by 760mm, quadrant 800 mm, quadrant 900 mm and pentagon 900 mm. A new attractive tray pattern has been designed to give identity and recognition to the tray as a Trevi Showers product.
Meanwhile, Armitage Shanks - another division of American Standard Plumbing (UK) - has launched its new Avon brassware range.
The modern design of the range proves that reliable and durable commercial plumbing need not be unattractive, a spokesman for Armitage Shanks points out.
Designed to be robust and economical, the contemporary Avon range offers push button taps and adjustable time flow, improving hygiene and water-saving, he says. The control knobs of the Avon brassware are directed at the user, allowing for clear hot and cold identification. The long reach of the taps enables water to be directed at the centre of the basin.
The Avon range of brassware is available as monoblock or pillar tap options which come in a modern chromium-plated finish designed to withstand the toughest environments. Avon pillar taps are available for high and low pressure systems and the monoblock mixer for high pressure only.
