An Ajman-based company has introduced the WM brand of heavy-duty cable protection systems in the Middle East and Africa.

Interface FZC, based at the Ajman Free Zone, says WM conduits are most suitable for protecting electric cables in car parks, basements, swimming pools and other outdoor applications.

The company says the WM products comply with both British and harmonised European standards and its range includes rigid conduits (BS 4568 Part 1 and BS31 1940 and EN 50086-2-1); flexible conduits (BS 731 Part 1 and EN 50086-2-2); conduit fittings (BS 4568 Part 2 and BS31 and EN 50086-2-1); circular boxes (BS 4568 Part 2, BS 31 and EN 50086-2-1); accessory boxes (BS 4662 and EN 50086-2-1) and adaptable boxes (BS 4568 Part 2 and EN 50086-2-1).

Among other features, the conduits are hot dipped galvanised according to Class 4 (heavy protection) system, both outside and inside and both ends are threaded and protected with plastic cap. The standard length is 3.75 metres.

It says some of the stringent standards employed in producing a heavy-duty metallic electrical cable protection system include tests to ensure there are no cracks or deformities, resistance to corrosion, electrical continuity, and high-quality malleable cast iron.

The company says its competitive prices allow electro-mechanical contactors new flexibility in overall cost structure.

WM brand of metallic cable protection systems are used extensively all over the world.
