Property developer Nakheel has signed an agreement with UAE contractor Bin Belaila Baytur to construct part of the Shoreline apartments on The Palm Jumeirah.
Baytur will build two sections – or 10 apartment blocks – of the luxurious apartments located on the trunk of the island – out of a total of 20 that will make up the complex. All in all, Baytur will build a total of 1,170 individual apartments.
“We are delighted to welcome Bin Belaila Baytur as our partner on this project. The Shoreline apartments are one of The Palm’s most prestigious developments and they constitute ‘dream’ residences for a lot of our customers, hence the importance in choosing the right contractor for the job,” says Nakheel chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem. “The company is an extremely well respected property developer in the UAE, with impeccable credentials. Together with them ,we look forward to seeing the apartments completed on schedule.”
The Shoreline apartments, located the right-hand side of the trunk, are state-of-the-art residences that feature sophisticated infrastructure for Internet access, cable TV, telephones and security and stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.
Residents living will have access to private club houses – one for each group of four blocks – housing health, fitness and recreational facilities, including children’s play areas and restaurants.
Baytur vice president Safa Dogramaci says the company aims start work immediately and complete construction and hand over the project in total within a maximum period of 20 months. The Shoreline apartments are due for completion in February 2006.
