The Compact LCD screen combines user friendliness with exceptional visibility.

Orlaco has introduced the new Compact Colour Screen for cranes, which will allow users to see better and work safer, according to a spokesman for the Swedish manufacturer.

“Although compact and small in size, the system is big on performance,” says the spokesman. “The new Compact LCD screen from Orlaco combines user friendliness with exceptional visibility and when used together with the zoom camera, the LCD ensures optimal safety while working with cranes.”
He continues: “No matter how good the crane operator is, it is impossible to have full visibility of the area around the crane. Hectic building sites or insufficient visibility in work areas can cause dangerous blind spots and make it more difficult for operators to lift and transport loads.
“Fortunately, Orlaco’s vision improvement system offers a solution. The image on the new Compact LCD colour screen is large in size, without taking up much space in the cabin. The encasement measures only 175 by 125 mm and is not thicker than 25 mm.”
Orlaco’s advanced LCD-technology ensures a high quality and crystal clear image, which in turn depicts true-to-life pictures of working areas, loads being lifted and a view of the winch. The zoom and compact camera function as an extra pair of eyes for the operator. A maximum of three cameras can be connected to the Compact LCD and it is also possible to use a black-and-white instead of a colour camera.
In addition, the Compact LCD is sturdy and robust and is not influenced by sudden movement, vibrations or possible carelessness during assembly.
The monitor is mounted on a reinforced adjustable bracket. The accompanying sunshade prevents reflections and keeps out blinding sunrays, ensuring that the LCD is clearly visible in direct sunlight, he says.
In short, the compact LCD offers more than better visibility of the crane’s load – it contributes immensely to increasing overall safety in work areas.
In addition, Orlaco camera-monitor systems ensure an improvement in working conditions as they prevent operators having to stare into far distances or hectic working areas, he adds.
Orlaco is an internationally active organisation that offers comprehensive solutions to viewing problems on vehicles and vessels, says the spokesman.
