Jeddah-based Electro Industries of Saudi Arabia which is participating in SaudiBuild 2001, says some of the business it earned this year was possibly won thanks to its presence at a previous edition of the annual building and construction show.

"Our participation in the event must have been an influencing factor in us winning major contracts for 3D systems, including ones for the Holiday Inn in Al Khobar, Al Dhiyafa in Makkah and the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh," says divisional manager for 3D systems Hamzeh Bdeir. "The exhibition was well organised and the public response very impressive."

He continues: "We have enrolled for SaudiBuild 2001 because it is one of the biggest shows in the Kingdom. Another prime factor which made us participate is that the exhibition offers us the opportunity to exhibit alongside other major international manufacturers."

The Jeddah-based Electro Industries' manufactures and markets signage, advertising and traffic-control material, exhibition stands and engineering and telecommunication products. This year's SaudiBuild will be the stage for the unveiling of the company's new product, Infonorm sign systems from Switzerland, for which it is the sole distributor. Other signage systems it will promote at the exhibition are from Interface, Reomax, Guillaume and Engineering Products.

Bdeir indicates that business has been good this year and growth impressive, expressing pride in what he says is the company's standing as one of the reputed signage manufacturers in Saudi Arabia.

Describing the Holiday Inn, Al Dhiyafa and Kingdom Centre projects as striking examples of innovative design and art, Bdeir says he expects to see similar prestigious projects coming Electro Industries' way in the near future. He stresses the company is dedicated to fulfilling customer needs and points out that progress has been maintained in creating new signage designs and accessories to the satisfaction of clients.

Electro Industries has hi-tech equipment including a water jet abrasive cutting machine, laser cutting machine, a Zund routing device and the digital graphic Salsa printing and Amada press and punch machines.

The company is the sole distributor in the Kingdom for Infonorm sign systems (Switzerland) and Guillaume SA Belgium. It has branch offices at Riyadh and Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Dubai (UAE), Beirut (Lebanon) and London (UK).

The company will be at stand 122 at SaudiBuild.
