A SR550 million ($148 million) commercial centre coming up in downtown Batha, one of the oldest districts of Riyadh, will be an architectural landmark when completed.
The centre will have the Middle East's largest dome, having a radius of 31 m, said a report.
The total built-up area of the project is 130,000 sq m with 319 commercial units.
The project is being executed by a group of Saudi investors led by Shaikh bin Sulaiman and Dr Abdul Mohsen Al Rowaisid.
The centre will have three integrated towers: an 11-storey family tower offering a built-up area of 12,800 sq m, a 11-floor executive suite tower (13,900 sq m) and a seven-floor office tower (27,000 sq m).
All three towers will be ready for possession in 18 months and potential tenants are being enlisted, Abdulaziz S Al Jehaiman, general manager of Ibn Sulaiman Commercial Centre, said.
The centre will have 12 main entrance gates besides several secondary entrances.
There are elevators originating directly from the streets to the second floor. It will also have a spacious food-court.
An underground parking area can accommodate some 750 cars at a time. Additional parking space for nearly 1,900 cars will be available following the completion of the second phase of the project, the report said.
