A SR1.7 billion ($453 million) modern private residential complex, complete with a state-of-the-art hospital and a school, has been inaugurated in Riyadh by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard.

The complex includes the 330-villa Kingdom City, l70-bed Kingdom Hospital and Kingdom Schools, all located in the vicinity of each other in northern Riyadh.

The Kingdom Holding Company's projects have been built in association with eight prominent Saudi businessmen and some real estate companies, according to a report in Saudi Gazette. Prince Al Waleed bin Talal is the chairman of the Kingdom Holding Company.

The Kingdom Hospital has been built at a cost of SR400 million and is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities. One of the unique features of this medical institution is said to be its comprehensive computerised system, which eliminates paperwork in all aspects of the hospital's operations.

The Kingdom City is a world-class housing project, which offers health and sports clubs, a clinic, swimming pools and gardens adjacent to each villa. It also has supermarkets, restaurants, a beauty parlour and a trade centre.

The Kingdom Schools, built over a 130,000 sq m site at a cost of $59 million, has the capacity to enroll more than 4,000 students.
