Sharjah Sustainable City, a fully sustainable residential community developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), in partnership with Diamond Developers, has started handing over the villas within the first phase of the premium project to the homeowners.
The developer has also launched Phase Three which comprises 324 villas, following an overwhelming response to its fully sold-out first two phases.
A mixed-use development, Sharjah Sustainable City extends over an 825,000-sq-ft area in the Al Rahmaniyah area of Sharjah, and boasts a total of 1,250 sustainable villas divided into blocks of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties ranging between 2,035 sq ft and 3,818 sq ft in built-up area. It offers a host of key amenities such as parks, gyms, swimming pool, school, and walking/cycling paths.
With striking designs, spacious layouts, excellent amenities and cutting-edge smart home and energy management technologies, properties in Sharjah Sustainable City offer the best of both worlds – an attractive and future-proof investment that also offers an economical and eco-friendly way of living and a high quality of life, the developer states.
Commenting on the launch of the third phase, Sharjah Sustainable City CEO Yousif Ahmed Al-Mutawa said: “Powered by clean energy, providing an abundance of green space and with an affordable price range, the third phase of properties at Sharjah Sustainable City offers an unbeatable combination of sustainable lifestyle and future-proof real estate investments. At a time when property investors and home buyers around the world are increasingly seeking green homes and a lifestyle that protects the planet, we are proud to be leading the field of sustainable development in the emirate of Sharjah. We are confident the response to the third phase of Sharjah Sustainable City will be even more robust than the first two phases.”
According to Diamond Developers CEO Salah Habib, the handover of Phase One in Sharjah Sustainable City marks a key milestone for the company. “At Diamond Developers, we are on a mission to roll out sustainable cities that bring forward the 2050 Paris agreement targets, and this monumental occasion is a step closer towards that.
“This project is a first of its kind in the emirate. We look forward to welcoming Sharjah Sustainable City’s residents to enjoy low carbon living and become a part of a truly sustainable future,” he says.
Sharjah Sustainable City is designed with a net-zero approach to community planning. The city is powered by renewable energy from solar photovoltaic panels on villa rooftops and utility buildings, recycles 100 per cent of wastewater for irrigation of landscaped areas, cultivates vegetables and leafy greens in biodomes on site, and is designed to encourage walkability and the use of clean mobility.
Using thermal insulating construction materials and windows, smart home automation, water-saving appliances, energy-saving electrical fittings and rooftop solar installations, the new residents of Sharjah Sustainable City are projected to enjoy savings of up to 50 per cent on their electricity and water bills.
