BUILDING on its reputation as a trendsetter who offers quality and reliable products, Geberit has unveiled a new shower toilet and a sanitary module, both of which combine function and design to create concepts for the future.
The Geberit Aqua-Clean Sela shower toilet, thanks to its simple form and the sophisticated technology concept, fits into virtually every bathroom setting, according to an official of the sanitary technology specialist.
At first glance, one could easily think that the Geberit Aqua-Clean Sela is not a shower toilet at all, says Stefan Schmied, managing director and head of Gulf region.
“Together with renowned designer Matteo Thun, we have managed to conceal the entire technology behind the ceramics, which accentuates the elegant design,” Schmied comments.
Unlike its predecessor models, the latest addition to the shower toilet family has a name – named after the spring and first part of the river Inn in the Swiss mountains – instead of a four-digit number, he says.
“Sela embodies the freshness and cleansing power of Swiss mountain waters – spring-fresh and pure in function and calm and simple in design,” he adds.
The European company also continues to enhance its current products with new innovations. For instance, it has boosted its Geberit Monolith sanitary module range for water closets (WCs) with the addition of the Monolith Plus.

“Maybe it is not always obvious, but there is a lot of sustaining innovation happening in our product portfolio every year, and new to the Geberit Monolith family and available in the Gulf region from 2014 is the Monolith Plus,” informs Schmied.
The new ‘shining star’ will be the flagship of the Monolith range taking it to the next level with amazing features such as electronic flush actuation, odour extraction built in, ambient lighting with sensor and a choice of three colours: white, black and umber.
“The Geberit Monolith sanitary module lets you create a bathroom using clear, well-designed elements,” he says. “And while it might look simple at first glance, this sanitary module offers much more, thanks to the unique combination of function and design. It can be installed with most readily available ceramic appliances.”
“What’s more, in most cases it can be quickly hooked up to existing connections, without any structural changes – a real advantage in major renovations. Geberit Monolith gives you freedom to realise your own design without a lot of work,” he adds.
The Geberit Monolith sanitary module can be combined with ceramic appliances from most other manufacturers. It offers great freedom of choice in the design and construction of bathrooms.
Founded in 1874, Geberit leads the way to provide perfect water solutions with reduced consumption, energy saving, low-noise and durable products which enable flexible constructions and correspond to sustainable building standards thus reducing its carbon footprint in manufacturing whilst never sacrificing design quality, says the official.
Geberit is recognised as being one of the most sustainable companies in the world. “Recognising trends, setting trends, actively designing the future, our developers and engineers are already working meticulously on new technologies for innovative bathroom concepts because we are certain that the bathroom of tomorrow will look different and will need to meet new demands, he says.
“Sustainability lies in our genes,” says Schmied.
He says buildings are investments that are designed to be used for a long time. “Whether this is possible depends on a building’s suitability and quality. What is planned today determines the living environment of future generations.”
He says the durability of materials and systems and the economical use of resources play a significant role in this regard as they help shape the quality of living environments. Geberit has devoted itself to comprehensively sustainable products that meet the highest standards, thus providing innovative system solutions for sustainable building. It applies competence and expertise at every stage and its products promote ease of installation, easy maintenance and have a long life cycle.
