BERGER Paints Bahrain, which claims to be Bahrain’s Number One paint manufacturing company, is catering to the rising local demand for its products especially from the buoyant retail, projects and protective coating segments. Most of the projects for the Ministry of Housing are coated with Berger Paint’s finishes that adhere to the ministry’s specifications, according to Aseem Doshi, general manager of Berger Paints Bahrain.

Berger Paints Bahrain is a part of the Berger International Group and offers a wide range of decorative, industrial and floor coatings that have evoked interest among consumers particularly because of their environment-friendly properties, he says.

Berger addresses environmental issues by ensuring that its products and production processes meet green standards.

“All decorative products manufactured and supplied by Berger Paints Bahrain are environment-friendly,” states Doshi. “They are free from lead and hard metals. Additionally, all decorative products come with a manufacturer’s lead-free guarantee, as indicated on all paint cans.”

He says that Berger Paints exerts every effort to utilise safe and suitable raw materials, which are approved by the Ministry of Environment, ensuring that local rules and regulations are adhered to. “As per our defined environment and health policies, we dispose of all factory waste as per local rules and regulations,” he adds.

In the Gulf, Berger has research and development (R&D) centres each in Bahrain, Oman and Dubai, UAE. “As a group, we have the highest number of researchers in the Australia-Asia region and there is much cooperation between the various R&Ds,” says Doshi.

In 2014, the company intends to launch a number of products in the architectural, industrial and protective coating segments.

“Paints are the most important interior décor medium to enhance the ambiance of a room and bring it to life with colours giving that essential character to any space. Hence, being the Number One paint company in Bahrain, we have created an array of innovative and convenient solutions to meet consumer needs.
