Reynaers Aluminium, a specialist provider of sustainable and high-quality aluminium systems, is returning to The Big 5 Saudi for the second consecutive year, buoyed by the response it received last year, where it exhibited some of its fast moving products.

“Visitors at the event (last year) praised our products. We believe that our participation at the event was a positive step and we look forward to this year’s exhibition,” says Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Aluminium Middle East, the regional office of the Belgium-based Reynaers Aluminium.

The company is a regular participant at The Big 5 Dubai, UAE, and made its debut at The Big 5 Saudi last year.

“The visitor turnout in 2012 was good and the venue is excellent since Jeddah is a metropolitan city and caters to the entire Western region while seeing some attendance from the southern part as well. The timing is also very good, that is, the first quarter of the year, so plenty of time ahead to follow-up on the customer visits to provide a head start to our business for the year,” says Khalaf.

This year, he says, the company will be promoting some of its unique windows and doors solutions like AluWood and Fireproof as well as curtain-walling, solar and hand-railing solutions at The Big 5 Saudi.

“With these solutions, we want to cater to home and project owners, architects, fabricators and general contractors – basically, a good mix of all our stakeholders,” Khalaf adds.

Among the other products that Reynaers will be promoting is the CW 50, a versatile curtain-walling system that caters to various needs of clients. Also in the limelight will be its fully-integrated solar solutions, which help in creating sustainable environments and saving energy.

“The GCC economies are focusing on the use of alternative energy and being an eco-friendly company, we have joined forces with our quality products, which are sustainable and provide a competitive return on investment (ROI),” Khalaf says. “Furthermore, since harnessing solar energy is now one of the priorities of GCC states, Reynaers offers fully integrated solar solutions available with its curtain-walling, sun screening and Brise Soleil (hand railing) products.”

Reynaers is a global aluminium systems company with offices in 30 countries. The Middle East operations were set up in 2004 and are being managed by the regional office in Bahrain, where the company has a full-fledged set-up including technical, quality, sales and marketing, and finance and administration functions.

Commenting on the company’s business levels in the region, Khalaf says that since aluminium plays an important part in building design and construction in the Middle East, the demand for Reynaers products has been rising steadily especially since the company offers a complete package to its clients while working with them to ensure the successful completion of their projects.

“We believe in providing a complete package to our clients, not just selling products by tonnage or engaging in price wars. We also provide a 10-year system guarantee for all our products. Our success lies in ensuring the satisfaction of our clients and while we were able to satisfy the demands of our clients in 2012, we hope to further enhance our services in 2013,” he says.

To boost its services to its clientele, Khalaf says the company has expanded its operations by having dedicated sales staff locally in almost all the countries it serves to help clients select the right products and to provide real-time support to its fabricators.

In addition, the company conducts research and development in a bid to offer cutting-edge products and efficient services to the market.

“Research and development is at the forefront of our core values and we are always developing new products to cater to the ever-changing market requirements. As an ongoing process, we recently updated our smoke evacuation products. For heavy-duty doors, we have added a new ‘high intensity’ series, which has been successfully tested for up to 570,000 cycles of usage and counting. We hope to realise our target of ‘one million’ cycles. The complete testing takes about six months and we are halfway through the complete cycle and confident to reach the coveted goal of one million successful test cycles of this exciting development,” Khalaf elaborates.

About the region, Khalaf says that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Oman are growing at a fast pace, which has offset the slowdown in Libya and Syria.

According to Faraz Siddiqui, area manager for Saudi Arabia West, Reynaers continues to be involved in a wide range of projects in Saudi Arabia. Some of its major ongoing projects include the C-180 Tower in South Obhur, Jeddah, and the Waterfront Hotel and Mall project in King Abdullah Economic City, both of which are expected to be completed in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the company’s products have been recently specified for Al Khair Tower, situated adjacent to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Building (JCCI). This project is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter, says Siddiqui.

Among the many projects that Reynaers has successfully executed in Saudi Arabia are the Ramada Hotel and Al Sehamiya Tower in Al Khobar; Shibh Al Jazeera in Madinah; Al Bassam Hotel and Din Dahesh Palace in Makkah; and Al Ammary office building, Prince Khaled Faisal commercial and office building, and Jameel Beach House in Jeddah.
