With an extensive portfolio of projects carried out worldwide, the Turkey-based Dizayn Group claims to be a preferred brand in the field of heating and sanitary installation.
The company, which counts among its successes regional high-profile developments such as the Palm Island project and Old Town at Burj Khalifa district in Dubai, wastewater treatment facilities in Kuwait and Pearl Island project in Qatar, is now focusing on the Gulf region in a bid to increase its market penetration.
A key to its success has been its focus on research and development and innovation, according to the company. “Dizayn Group, which has 85 patents, gives top priority to research and development (R&D), producing many technological solutions and products in the process. It is one of the most technology-focused companies in Turkey,” says a spokesman for the company.
“As the result of giving importance to R&D, Dizayn high-tech products are one of their kind worldwide, have quality certifications and have found wide acceptance worldwide,” he adds.
The Turkish group exports to more than 80 countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, the UAE, Qatar, Albania, Romania, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, Moldavia, Pakistan and India.
Hakan Ozdemir, vice president, says the group has come up with solutions to potable water transportation problems for various countries. It has recently exported pipes for a potable water pipeline project in Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic.
The group’s other leading projects are Nile River underwater transfer scheme in Sudan and Bukhara, and Semerkand water project in Uzbekistan.
Founded in 1987 with the objective of developing and carrying out projects in the heating and plumbing sectors, Dizayn Group started producing PP-R (polypropylene Random) for under-floor heating and indoor plumbing applications in 1992. The group today produces more than 4,000 high and low pressure pipes as well as associated fitting for 23 different complete systems.
Its products are manufactured in factories located in Sivas and Çorlu in Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Among its most popular products is the Dizayn Oxy Plus Combi Pipe, which has a Dizayn patent. These pipes are composite structured pipes, composing two PPR layers with equal wall thickness and an aluminium foil in between these layers. The adhesion of the foil and PPR layer is ensured by the adhesive being over and under the aluminum foil placed in the middle of the wall thickness. This arrangement provides pressure resistance under high temperatures, results in less thermal expansion and oxygen isolation.
The group continues to expand rapidly with national and international investments. Recently, it appointed a German distributor as part of its efforts to expand the scope of its international business.
