Mammut Technocrete is involved in a number of projects in the UAE.

One of Mammut Group’s visionary ventures Mammut Technocrete, which marks three years of service to the UAE construction industry in December, reports remarkable growth, particularly over the past year in terms of its output and projects executed.

Mammut Technocrete produces a variety of finished products and precast solutions to cater to its clients’ requirements. These include slabs, solid walls, double walls, Mammut planks, floor slabs, sandwich panels, beams, columns, stairs, landings, and footings among others.
Since its inception, its focus has been on incorporating the latest software, state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled manpower, with a commitment to quality and timely-delivery of products, according to Siamak Motemavelian, group marketing manager.
Speaking on the firm’s remarkable growth, Motemavelian says: “The reason behind our success is that we have streamlined all our processes within our four plants - a fully automatic plant, semi-automatic plant, special plant and batching plant - that are now amalgamated together.  Hence our production facility works smoothly, enabling us to meet our deadlines and complete projects on time. Our emphasis on quality can be seen not only in the way we work, but in our products, which are manufactured to ensure safety and environment-friendly standards.
“At the same time, our highly trained and dedicated team of quality control engineers have been continually developing our products and procedures to attain higher standards. Our technological innovations, as a result, have accelerated the use of our precast products in the region’s construction industry.”
“Our manufacturing expertise and competitive pricing demonstrates our strength as one of the region’s premier contracting companies, enabling us to undertake projects on a turnkey basis,” Motemavelian adds.
The company stakes claim to be one of the largest manufacturers of precast concrete panels in the world and at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.
Says Motemavelian: “Our fully automated plant uses shutter fixing robots, reinforcement fixing robots, automatic concrete spreaders, mesh carrying robots, automatic vibration through its vibration stations and also has a fully automated storage system in its curing chambers.”
Similarly, its semi-automatic plant - which produces Mammut Planks (65 mm thick) - uses an automatic plotting system and an automatic vibration system. The Mammut Plank is either a roof or floor slab that acts as a formwork that becomes an integrated part of the roof and floor after concreting during erection. These meet the design requirements and provides an early strength for fast pace construction, according to Motemavelian.
In its special plant, the company produces all its customised, special elements such as wall panels with large or architectural openings, stairs, columns, beams, landings and footings. “The elements are made to order and the numbers of pallets are fixed at one position. All the processes are carried out simultaneously,” he remarks.
Continuing on the company’s technological excellence, he says, “In terms of software, we have opted for the Tekla software which helps in strong visualisation, bidding and cost estimation, enabling us to stay competitive and meet the expectations of our customers.
“This also makes it easier for us to launch and implement our ERP management systems in our daily applications.”
Since its inception and the opening of its factory in Dubai Techno Park in the last quarter of 2005, which is spread over an area of 250,000 sq m with 60,000 sq m of covered production area, Mammut Technocrete has been able to bag several high-profile projects in the UAE. Among its recent successes is a Dh620 million ($168.87 million) contract from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) for a water reservoir project. The contract entails construction, completion, testing and commissioning of some of the largest rectangular ground reservoirs in the world with a capacity of 60 million gallons each.
Other prestigious projects include the Ottoman Palace in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Waterfront, a development at Al Raha beach for Aldar Laing O’Rourke and Sheikh Hamdan Race Course at Al Lisaili, to name a few.
Mammut Contracting Company (MCC), a member of the Mammut Group, is the main contractor for the Dubai Waterfront project, and Sheikh Hamdan Race Course at Al Lisaili.
MCC was one of the first companies to start erection work on the Dh508.70 million ($138.5 million) Dubai Waterfront project. Under the contract, the firm will be involved with the construction of 146 villas and 16 four-storey buildings.
“To work with a prestigious client on a huge project like this gives us an edge over our competition,” says Motemavelian. “It is the right time for us to showcase our potential and capabilities. The legacy of success that we have from the Mammut Group has definitely helped us in achieving this project,” he says.
Equipped with a broad portfolio of innovative products and backed by a track record of prominent projects, the company will use the networking opportunities presented by the Big 5 show next month to make further inroads into the market.
