The Address Dubai Mall, Emaar Properties’ prestigious hotel in Downtown Dubai, now has a new look following the completion of a comprehensive refurbishment programme.

The hotel reopened during the last quarter of 2018 with the Phase One launch of the revitalised and renewed design.

Linked directly to The Dubai Mall, the hotel’s initial design was delivered in March 2017 by Meyer Davis Studio, New York. Leading regional consultant SSH was contracted to formulate a proposed design to meet the client’s budget and timeline constraints in a two-phase programme:

• Three months’ full shutdown of public areas and partial guestroom refurbishment;

• Three months’ partial shutdown to complete guestroom upgrade floor-by-floor.

SSH Interior Design division was responsible for the refurbishment of public areas, guestrooms and suites, delivering detailed design and IFC documentation, while coordinating with the client and project consultants, and carrying out local sourcing of materials and value engineering.

SSH’s scope of services encompassed the following:

• Public areas: Level One – porte cochere, arrival and reception lobbies and lobby lounge; Level Two – ballroom, pre-function and meeting rooms; Level Three – business centre and meeting rooms

• Guestrooms: Levels 4-15, 243 keys plus club lounge.
