The German foundation specialist is busy with ground improvement works on a prestigious villa community that Aldar Properties is developing.

Bauer Geotechnical Specialised Foundation, the local subsidiary of Bauer Spezialtiefbau, has been commissioned to carry out ground improvement works for an exclusive villa community in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

Not far from the famous Formula 1 race track, “Yas Acres” is the name of the prestigious real estate project currently being built in Abu Dhabi by Aldar Properties, the biggest property developer in Abu Dhabi.

Upon completion, the project will house a high-end residential villa community with retail buildings, schools, a mosque, leisure facilities and even an 9-hole golf course on 638 hectares of Yas Island – one of the biggest natural islands in Abu Dhabi.

“Bauer, which will also be responsible for the design, will be carrying out the ground improvements for the future buildings across an area of 400,000 sq m from the end of October,” says a spokesman for the company.

Among other things, the scope of works will include earthworks, general site clearance and the relocation of a temporary treatment plant. Bauer’s part of the work is expected to take ten months.
