JOTUN, one of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of paints and coatings, is promoting its single-source solution concept to further reinforce the company’s position as a one-stop shop for paints and coatings solutions.
Through its unique concept, Jotun aims to provide consultants and engineers with high-quality, cost-effective decorative and protective coatings, which can withstand extreme levels of ultraviolet (UV) light, various levels of humidity and corrosion, high and low ambient temperatures and other environmental pollutants to preserve their strength and appearance over the span of their service life cycle.
“We have invested $23 million towards research studies to enhance the quality and features of Jotun products to address customers’ specific requirements. This investment has resulted in the creation of more breakthrough manufacturing technologies, and consequently, the unveiling of new and highly improved products,” says Deepak Pai, marketing manager for Jotun UAE.
“Through these innovations in our production processes, we were able to establish a strong repute for the Jotun brand — one that is synonymous with top quality and specialised paint and coating products for a vast range of surfaces,” he adds.
The Norwegian company’s presence in the Middle East commenced in 1974 with the launch of Jotun UAE Limited, which today is one of the leading paint and coatings manufacturers in the region with an annual production of 200 million litres in 2007.
As part of its aims to secure 25 per cent of the regional market share within the next three years, the company is working on reinforcing its presence in Qatar and also several other important markets in the region.
Jotun Group continues to leverage its extensive reach to deliver a broad range of coating solutions to the country and the rest of the international construction community.
The single-source solution, which is an integrated approach that aims to offer a comprehensive range of customised coatings sourced from the whole spectrum of the organisation’s resources and competencies, is part of Jotun’s overall strategy to entrench its presence within the Qatari market.
The solution has been used in complex projects such as the Mesaieed Housing complex, Al Nakheel Tower, Al Fardan compound, Al Mirqab Tower in Qatar, Burj Dubai, Madinat Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab and The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, and also in other prestigious projects worldwide like the Eiffel Tower, China Opera House, and Nile City Complex.
“The expanse of our global network and our deep knowledge of the unique requirements of global construction market have played a pivotal role in our top standing as the leading source of paints and coatings around the world,” says Pai.
