The UAE-based Emirates Precast Fences Factory (Aswar) – a pioneer in the manufacture and supply of precast concrete boundary wall systems in the region – has launched its new sophisticated production facilities last month at its headquarters at Abu Dhabi Industrial city and has plans to expand its production capacity of precast products within two years.
Established just over two years ago, the company also intends to open a new sales office in Dubai soon to cater to increasing demand of the UAE markets.
To increase awareness of its innovative products, Aswar will be returning for the second time to the Big 5 show this year with its range of decorative precast boundary wall systems that are being produced for the first time in the region, according to Imad Mohamad, general manager of the company.
“We believe that Big 5 is the most important show of the construction industry in the region and our Stand 3B138 at Hall 3 will provide a shop-window for our precast boundary wall system products such as Woodacrete, Brickacrete, Stonacrete and Railacrete among others,” says Mohamad.
“Last year's edition provided us with a good opportunity to showcase our new products and we received a lot of visitors who showed interest in our products,” he adds.
Aswar is a pioneer in the GCC for decorative precast concrete boundary wall systems that resemble wood, brick or stone on both the sides with each walling system and have deep texturing that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The company's annual production capacity exceeds 150,000 m of boundary walls, which have an average of 2 m height.
Established in June 2004 in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, Aswar has a turnover of around Dh37.5 million ($10 million) and is staffed by around 68 employees.
The company's precast concrete systems facilitate masonry construction at a lower cost, while offering the benefits of attractive design, increased privacy and security and forming an effective barrier against wind and noise, and requiring no painting and being free from the risk of rotting, burning, termite invasion or cracking. The systems are maintenance free with no requirement for periodic replacement, and can be easily repaired if damaged by collision,
“We have carried out a number of residential and commercial projects in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In fact, our precast systems were recently approved for the boundary walls of the prestigious Jumeirah Island project, but unfortunately the contractors were in hurry to finish the project and could not wait for us to start the production processes,” concludes Mohamad.
