Saudi Arabia-based paint manufacturer Al Jazeera Factory for Paints Company (Al Jazeera Paints) - is looking forward to popularise its range of paint solutions – both industrial and architectural – in the fast growing local and regional markets.
The company says that its range of quality surfacing solutions and finishes that include: Stone Protector, Hammer finish and the Pearl finish, has been well accepted in the market and it expects business volumes to increase, given the surge in construction activity in the region.
Stone Protector
A clear water-based coating, Stone Protector is recommended for use as a special coating for exterior and interior applications over concrete, stones, cement, brick and mineral surfaces and has a clear finish.
Applied with brush, roller or low-pressure garden-type sprayer, as a final top coat, Stone Protector has some special characteristics such as;
• High penetration through the surfaces;
• High water repellent properties;
• Prevents oily stains from penetration;
• Vapour permeable;
• Provides a dry look to substrates; and
• Transparent, no effect on original appearance and colour of the surface after drying.
Hammer finish
This superior quality ready-mixed aluminium paint for steel and wooden surfaces, based on a special resin, gives a patterned hammer finish, and is recommended for use as a decorative and protective coat for exterior and interior applications on steel and wooden surfaces. Available as a gloss finish - in mainly silver grey as well as other colours - Hammer finish has several features that include:
• Good decorative finish;
• Good hiding power;
• High durability; and
• Is lead free.
Pearl finish
Used for primarily three kinds of surfaces – wood, metal and concrete – Pearl finish is available in gold, white, green, copper, silver and blue colours. On wood, Pearl finish can be used for wood stain decoration as well as for natural colour.
It can be used for traditional, and plain metal facades as well as for decorative and ornate surfaces, in various architectural designs for buildings as well as for industrial and commercial uses, says a company spokesman.
One of Saudi Arabia’s business success stories, Al-Jazeera Factory for Paints Company began operations in 1979 when it set up base in Riyadh. The company soon set up a production line for a range of paints that would suit the demands of the region’s construction sector. Continuing its focus on expanding its product portfolio to cater to a wide range of needs in both architectural and industrial paints, the company has laid a special emphasis on developing a range of paints that are durable and reliable and can effectively protect industrial and building surfaces from the problems of decay and corrosion from environmental conditions.
“The company has been focusing on developing a high-quality varied product line-up to cater to every possible need and prides itself in having many repeat customers in the Gulf and worldwide,” says the spokesman.
Al Jazeera Paints claims to have been the first in the Middle East to established a centre for field research on various types of paints under normal climatic circumstances that conform to the specifications of the field research centre in Florida, US.
“Set up with the objective of meeting international standards of quality for its paints as well as for incorporating innovative properties, the centre has helped develop superior products and solutions,” says the spokesman.
“Highly skilled technicians, well trained in the field of quality control and conducting sophisticated test performances have enhanced the company’s product portfolio to include a large variety of architectural and industrial paints, he concludes.
