Meraas, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded the ground works contract to International Foundation Group for Atélis at d3 – thus marking the start of groundworks at its landmark residential project located within the Dubai Design District.
The developer had earlier appointed International Foundation Group for a similar role on the third phase of its City Walk Crestlane.
The Atélis at d3 contract covers comprehensive site preparation, excavation, soil improvement, dewatering, and the design and construction of shoring and piling works.
Designed by internationally-renowned architectural practice Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), Atélis at d3 will introduce a distinctive 45-storey residential landmark characterised by elegant, petal-inspired balconies inspired by flowers native to the UAE desert.

Solaya, an exclusive beachfront residential development in Jumeirah 1.
The development will boast a collection of one- to four-bedroom apartments, complemented by exclusive penthouses, with panoramic views of Dubai Creek and the city skyline.
“Residents will enjoy three levels of premium lifestyle amenities, including wellness facilities, co-working spaces and thoughtfully curated communal areas that reflect the creative character of d3,” said a company spokesman.
As a key component of Meraas’ vision for Dubai Design District, Atélis supports the district’s continued transformation into a globally recognised destination where design, creativity, entrepreneurship and contemporary residential living converge. The development builds on d3’s established reputation as the region’s leading creative ecosystem while introducing a new dimension of premium waterfront living, he added.
Meanwhile, International Foundation Group is set to break ground on two residential buildings being developed as part of the third phase of its City Walk Crestlane.
Its scope of work includes comprehensive site preparation, excavation, soil improvement, dewatering and providing the design and construction of shoring and piling works as well as enabling the next phase of construction.
According to Meraas, these buildings forms part of the wider City Walk Crestlane Phase Three and the masterplan, reinforcing the development’s vision of green, connected urban living within one of Dubai’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Meanwhile, Meraas has also broken ground on Solaya, an exclusive beachfront residential development in Jumeirah 1.
Swissboring Overseas Piling Corp has been appointed to undertake the works, including shoring, excavation, piling and dewatering, with completion scheduled between September and November 2026.
Solaya comprises 234 beachfront residences across nine buildings set within 40 acres in the heart of Jumeirah 1. The development includes a curated collection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom residences, alongside penthouses, signature garden houses and duplexes.
Designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by 1508 London, Solaya brings together world-class architecture, refined interiors, curated wellness amenities and direct access to Dubai’s coastline.
