Acson air-conditioners are, explains Shetty, user-friendly with a real time clock with 24-hour timer, enabling the user to preset the unit to turn on and off at any time desired. A self-diagnosis system helps in detecting and diagnosing any fault occurring in the unit using blinking LED lights. Besides providing a comfortable environment, it also helps save energy as, in sleep mode auto control, the fan switches to a light breeze and the set temperature also changes automatically to create a comfortable sleeping environment, he says.

Auto fan speed control ensures that fan speed will be automatically selected according to the indoor room condition.

An LCD remote controller, meanwhile, is user-friendly, with multiple functions including fan speed regulation, air swing sleep mode, temperature setting, real time clock and 24-hour timer.

Compact and aesthetically-pleasing, Acson's light commercial ceiling concealed ducted type air-conditioners feature a double protection drainage system - the primary drain pan is designed with high thermal insulation material and moulded in gradient for better condensate water drainage. The specially-designed and 'built-in' secondary drain pan offers easy installation at site, and also helps prevent water leakage problems.

Other features include high-efficiency rotary/scroll compressors in outdoor units for energy saving; a random pitched fan blade for low noise and a hydrophilic slit fin which enhances cooling capacity.

"The mini chiller is more eco-friendly because only a small quantity of refrigerant - which is confined in the outdoor condenser - is needed. It is equipped with intelligently- designed safety control to ensure continuous safe operation.

"The lightweight condenser and fan coil unit are designed for ease of installation. The condenser unit is compact and light, enabling easy handling and transportation. An individual mini chiller can be connected to form a module and the module can be operated as a single unit. The unit is supplied with standard water pump, insulated storage tank, auto air vent, expansion tank and flow switch, and are available in both cooling and heat-pump models. No cooling tower is required as this unit is an air-cooled system.

"The mini chiller can be installed anywhere, even far from the fan coil, allowing maximum flexibility and creativity in the site installation. The new slim and compact design offers maximum flexibility for multi-storey applications because it can be placed anywhere in a building. The condenser can be placed at a centralised location on the top or bottom of a building or on each floor to suit the building's requirement. These machines allow flexibility in operation where air conditioning can be controlled to suit individual requirements at the particular location. The piping length can also be extended, providing further flexibility in unit installation.

"The above system can also be integrated with the NIM (Network Integrated Module) controller available as optional, whereby the units have the flexibility for the fan coil units serving different areas to be controlled either centrally or individually, a sort of BMS (building management system).

"The product is ideal for offices, shopping complexes and hotels which require zone control or individual cooling operation, as the fan coil unit can be controlled separately."
