Missel ... combines natural stone and stainless steel.

The Missel range of compact toilet cisterns and washbasins, bidets and urinals has been enhanced with the introduction of the 30 and 60-degree models which can be installed in any corner of a room, diagonally and at any point in a bathroom and parallel to the installation wall, says its German manufacturer.

These new models offer greater individuality to bathrooms and guest toilets, enhancing their visual appeal while providing more flexibility in layout, it adds. They enable special customer requirements to be met and makes installation in even the smallest of rooms, long and narrow bathrooms and "mini toilets" possible, it says.

"Thanks to the corner and diagonal installation in 30, 45 and 60 degree angles, Missel compact elements enable a completely new, compact and design-oriented bathroom design," says a spokesman for Missel. "The 360 mm wide, 175 mm-deep Missel compact elements for WCs, washbasins, bidets and urinasl have a high quality, powder-coated, light grey, metal frame construction. Height and depth adjustable, the units can withstand high-impact levels (400 kg or 150 kg test as per DIN EN 997) and are torsion-resistant, thanks to their unique triangular shape.

"Securing to the wall is simple and installation-friendly. The associated installation materials frequently necessary for pre-wall systems with rail systems, such as floor and wall rails, spacers, floor angles, connection brackets and cross-rails etc, are not required with Missel compact elements."

The spokesman continues: "The compact elements are complemented by the feather-light and practical Missel MFT tiling panels which are closed-cell, and hence do not absorb any moisture on the edge of cut. The tiling panels are reinforced with glassfibre fabric and coated with plastic-treated mortar on both sides, which means they can be stuck on without additional pretreatment.

"The installation of the stable and highly stress-resistant Missel tiling panels (test based on DIN 4103-1) is very simple and time-saving. The panels are secured to the non-distorting Missel compact elements with self-cutting drilling screws."

The design of the compact units is based on the principle "comfort in the smallest of spaces".

Elaborating on the compact toilet cistern which was first introduced in 1998, the spokesman says: "With exquisite elegance, clear forms and noble materials, the Missel compact toilet cistern design opens up a new dimension in plumbing design. Thus, for the first time, the WC is no longer integrated as inconspicuously as possible into the wall, but rather profiled as an independent design element.

''Functionally equipped with a 6-litre cistern and effective structure-borne sound insulation, the triangular compact element with decorative models and sweepingly curved stainless steel draws attention to itself like a work of art.

"The individuality of the product is shown by the broad range of materials and colours that makes it possible to create a very personal style. Some 160 combinations of attractive finishes are available. Glass, stainless steel, wood or natural stone - each material brings a unique atmosphere to the room, but also harmonises with plumbing equipment and bathroom furniture of leading branded goods manufacturers."

Missel offers four glass versions: cobalt blue and sea green as well as satin-finished versions in mint green and platinum grey.

A further attractive design variant that underscores the special aspects of the compact cistern is genuine wood. The silk matte sealed wooden surfaces are available in maple, cherry and wenge.

"Units featuring natural stone complete the design range. Whether azul macaubas, labrador dark, multicolour red, blue eye or imperial white - all of these naturally grown stones are always unique items in the same way as genuine wood," he says. "Unlike the traditional WC installed in a tiled wall, this product offers the possibility of new new at any time as the decorative facades can be replaced easily within a few minutes.

"In addition, the Missel compact toilet cistern can be easily dismantled and reinstalled in another bathroom - just like an item of furniture."
