

Walltracts manufactured and supplied loose furniture to all furnished apartments and guestrooms for the Dusit Dubai. The company also supplied and installed wall coverings for the project and stretch fabric for the public areas.
"Dusit Dubai was our first venture in loose furniture,'' says KS Cherian, director, sales for Walltracts. "All the furniture was custom-designed."
"This was the first project for our company where wood works were involved," adds David Rajan, operations manager. ''We started work in September last year and completed it in February. It was a successful project and we were able to comply with the design, specifications and schedule."

Walltracts has an exclusive arrangement with Arabian Caravans, Furnishing & Trading Company (ACFT), a part of the Bahwan Group of companies, the largest business house in the Sultanate of Oman, to meet and fulfil different joinery requirements.
Walltracts claims to be is the first contract soft furnishing company in the UAE to have been awarded the ISO 9002 accredited by BVQI-UK. It is currently in the process of being updated to the new ISO 9000 (2000 version).
"Our entire product range is inspected through every manufacturing process before they are supplied to customers,'' Rajan points out.
''To become a Walltracts vendor, firms must first pass our stringent quality and service standards. Walltracts has developed proven installation procedures that are documented and provide excellent results of international standards. The company is also a member of the Dubai Quality Group and participates in most of its programmes,'' he adds.
The company has three large warehouses to accommodate goods in transit and the tailoring, production/quilting and upholstery divisions. Its computer-guided quilting machine has the capability to quilt more than 100 designs/patterns.
Walltracts has a total workforce of 200 employees who are constantly trained in-house and also by the manufacturers at their premises.
The company has recently completed the Hotel Sea View and is involved with the executive offices of the new Nissan showroom, executive offices of Internet City, Etisalat offices in Ajman, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
