Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Building Technology Stimulus Fund (BTSF), an initiative of the Saudi Ministry of Housing, The Big 5 Saudi 2018 hosted 400 local and international exhibitors in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last month (March 5 to 8).
The event at the Jeddah Chamber for Forums & Events was inaugurated by Ziad Al Bassam, vice-president of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The show offered a platform for the latest solutions and materials in construction, including bathroom and kitchen fittings, smart city resources, and steel and solar technology. Also on display were concrete and PMV (plant, machinery and vehicles) equipment in an outdoor zone dedicated to heavy machinery and warehousing products.
The event saw leading exhibitors from 18 countries taking part besides hosting country pavilions from Belgium, China, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, and the US.
Organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa and MICE Arabia, The Big 5 Saudi was co-located with Wood Tech & Design Expo Saudi 2018.
The event was supported by Al Bawani as Platinum Sponsor and Registration Sponsor, Grohe and Al Yamamah as Gold Sponsors, and the Building Technology Stimulus Fund as Strategic Partner.
A key highlight of the event was more than 50 free, certified workshops by the captains of the construction industry.
