PILING works for Jeddah’s Kingdom Tower project is expected to be completed at the end of this year.

Currently, 80 per cent of the piling works has been completed by Saudi Bauer Company, said Talal Al Maiman, executive director of development and domestic investments, chairman and CEO of the Kingdom Real Estate Development Company (KRED).

Meanwhile, a joint venture of UK-based EC Harris and Mace has signed a SR162 million ($43.5 million) contract to provide project management services for the landmark development, which on completion will be the world’s tallest tower at 1,000 m.

The scope of work under the contract awarded by Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) includes the management of all aspects of the project’s delivery with specific emphasis on the management of programme and cost.

Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) and JEC, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said: “This contract further confirms that the Jeddah project continues on its strategic path.”
