
OMAN’S biggest indoor water park is one step closer with the signing of an agreement between Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr Al Said group of companies and the Arabian Malaysian Development Company.
Majarat Oman will be built at the Al Sawadi beach in the wilayat of Barka at a cost of RO40 million ($103 million).
Spread over an area of 25,000 sq m area, the park will be the biggest indoor entertainment facility in the sultanate. The park comprises four main areas namely, ‘Strange World’, ‘Excitement World’, ‘Space Station’ and ‘Nebton water park’.
Majarat Oman, which is expected to open in early 2016, will be constructed by Sanderson Group of Australia.
